Almost two decades ago, Antonia learned to groom her first dog, a toy poodle named Cookie. Several years later, Antonia’s mother bought her a miniature poodle named Malibu. Antonia began showing Malibu at dog shows for pleasure. From her success with Malibu, Antonia forged a ten year career of professional dog handling, competing at Westminster five times and earning more than 120 championships throughout her illustrious career.

As part of being a professional dog handler, Antonia had to learn to groom a wide variety of dogs that would be judged based, in part, on appearance. It was at these competitions that Antonia was mentored by groomers from all over the world, helping hone her grooming skills.

Wanting to provide “Best In Show” Quality grooming, she opened Antonia’s Paw Spa to escape the cookie-cutter dog grooming of chains for a customized grooming experience based on the individual dog’s needs.

Because of Antonia’s unparalleled skill, her grooming services are available by appointment only. She has many regular clients, so be sure to plan ahead as it can take several weeks to secure an appointment, but “no bones about it, we’re worth the wait!”
